Why rugs?
Because a rug is one of the few objects in a home that is both practical and deeply personal — something you walk on, live with, and come to regard as part of the room’s character.
RugsCurator began from a simple belief: that a great rug is not simply decoration, but a piece of character you choose deliberately and keep for a long time. We do not manufacture, and we do not chase volume. We select.
Every rug in the collection has been chosen for the way it is made — the fibre, the knot, the dye, the hand that wove it — and for the way it will sit in a room. Some pieces are quiet. Some command attention. All of them have a point of view.
We think of ourselves less as a shop and more as a curatorial eye: helping people discover the rug that gives their interior its personality, and guiding them from first look to the piece that finally stays.

The Eye
Character lives in the detail.
Natural variation is not a flaw — it is the signature of the hand that made it. We look for rugs whose detail rewards closer inspection, because that is where the craft reveals itself.
